Does anyone have KBD Targa Mufflers or have info on them? Eckler's and Corvette South both carry this KBD Targa Muffler Kit for 75 -77 C3 Corvettes, they have double chrome tips on each muffler and black small sized muffler sections and pipes. They look cool but do they sound good and provide performance?

I can't speak about the performance but I have heard them on a car at Mid America's Funfest. I thought them to be on the loud side. I also didn't care for the turned up look (baloney cut) of the tail pipe. This is purely a matter of my preference and that along with $.75 will get you a cup of coffee in most gas stations.

I've got the KBD Targa mufflers on my 78 and am really happy with them. I have had them on for about six months now. I like the looks turned up tips and all. I love the sound. My .02.
Aaron, I was thinking the same, if you decide to go with them, please post a pic so I can see. Thanks, steve

SilverStreak do you have pictures of the KBD's on your Vette? As far as the sound, are they on the loud side? I would be looking for good looks and a nice loud rummble effect. Oh, Tux over here (Starbucks) the cup of coffee is about $4.95.

Sorry, won't have pictures until after Christmas (when I get my digital camera). The sound is a deep rumble and I personally love the looks.
I have not seen anything close to these and for the great price. After e-mailing Corvette South it looks like $155.50 for the kit and $25.00 for shipping. So for $180.50 I don't think I can come close with another muffler kit like this. Maybe after tax refund time I might consider them as an option. steves74 I'll let you know if I end up getting this kit.

Here is a Mid America link and a pic.

Sounds like Corvette South is a good deal. Starbucks Coffee....
We have one here too. What a rip off, I can get a good cup at Speedway for a lot less. Starbucks is like paying the Corvette Tax on buying parts! Although, I wouldn't hesitate to take my wife there whenever she wants.... go figure...
