alright...she's got a pair of hooker headers and sidetubes coated with jethot's ceramic coating. they've gotten very dirty...and I can't seem to get the dirt off. the other day I spent like 7 minutes worth of change at the car wash, just working on the sidepipes with the pressure hose, hot soapy water, a rag, and some elbow grease, and I can't get the damn dirt to come off. how do you suggest I get these clean and shining again, without eating the coating or anything like that?

Mike,
Have you tried any of the pipe cleaners made for Motorcycle exhaust? I remember my dad using some that would remove the grit and discoloration (blue & gold) from them.
I have ridden in years now so I'm pretty much out of touch but I'll ask a buddy of mine who still rides this afternoon.
I use a product called Never Dull on Chrome and Aluminum and it shines things up good. I don't think that it would do much to remove any grit though.

I use a polish called WENOL.Most motorcycle shops carry it. be careful .get the one without the abrasive.
I think Jeg`s or Summit also carry a ceramic coating polish that won`t hurt the finish.
Mine leak at the side tude and collector so i`m always cleaning them. Car wash just just work.
Correction on last post.
Car wash just does not work.
I use Never Dull and Mothers polish on my JetHot sidepipes. They look brand new when I'm done. When I ordered them from JetHot I asked what I should use and they told me that Mothers once a year (depending on how dirty they get) would work well.

I haven't had any problem getting stuff off of them while using either product. I even had an electrical cord melt on the side of one... whoops... but a little rubbing with Never Dull and Mothers and it all cleaned off very well. VTHokie77Vette 38844.8203703704
