Vette(s): Little on the rough side right now, with new paint and new interior it will be looking fine!
So today my carb suddenly starting flooding the engine bad, and after screwing around with it for about 3 hours i realized that i had fuel dumping in from underneath the jets, i pulled the top of the carb off and realized that the screws holding my jets down were all alot looser than when i had rebuilt the carb a couple of weeks ago. I tightened them up and that fixed the problem. Has anyone else ever had something similar happen?

I hope to one day be as knowledgeable as most the guys on here... but till then I'll have to just keep asking the questions with the obvious answers....

Haven't had screws come loose before...just kidding..can't say this is something I've run into before but if tightening them all down worked hopefully you're done now with that..I've had floats not work right that did this and flooded the engine compartment with gas..gets jammed or sticks down and doesn't stop the gas glow when it should..had that happen more than I want to remember!

i've been messing around with this carb for a few weeks now and i'm finally caving in to my neighbors advice to get a new carb, i tightened those screws ran the engine for a few hours and it started flooding out again and some of the screws were loose again. I think that the carb is alot older than i thought. I'm going from a 750 carb to 650 CFM...
