I was wondering if any of you have done or seen an LPG gas conversion on a vette. Over here fuel is now equivalent to $6.62 a gallon where as LPG is half that. I am told that the performance difference is minimal and so long as the car can accept unleaded fuel that it will run ok on LPG. I have seen a few conversions on other cars over here but not a vette. The cost of the conversions also varies alot from one place to another and they all have "the best" system. My right foot is costing me money big time so anything that could help save some would be useful.

You will lose some power, not a lot if it is set up for just LPG. It can be set up to run on gasoline or LPG, but the performance on LPG will suffer. The advantage is being able to get back home if you run out of LPG.
You will use more volume of propane than gasoline, but it will still be cheaper. The biggest problem you will have is locating the LPG tank. It's going to be difficult to find a tank that will fit in a Vette, and still have enough volume acheive any distance. You could take out the original fuel tank. There are not a lot of location choices.
