It is my fault...I know....but dammit if using Meineke to bolt on my exhaust kit hasn't been a flipping nightmare.
Delay after delay back in February....spark plug wires popping offmwhen they get warm and drivng the freeway.
Now I hear a sound similar to a damn exhaust leak or sticky lifter (had my dads 80 caprice doing that eay back when) and I pull over and pop the hood.
Can hear an exhaust leak when I step on the gas......puff of exhaust comes up from right side close to firewall.
Looknat the brand new headers and sure as shit the header, right side closest to firewall....fwd bolt is missing...damn 16th ng hacked out!

They should have done a heat cycle and re-torqued the header bolts. Or at least have warned you to re-torque them a couple times.
My suggestion is to get a set of Stage 8 locking bolts and never again worry about the bolts backing out.

Sux that they created such a problem for ya, tho. You're gunna need new gaskets now, plus at least the one bolt that went missing. And yup....re-tightening them is a must after a few heat cycles.
The Stage 8 set-up can be a pita to work with(not much room to play with), but it will keep the bolts from backing out ever again.

New gaskets? F' me...haha
Worker let slip they fired the guy who did my work and a lot of his jobs are coming back in for fixing....not happy about that either.
Upside is they still had my original manifolds and emissions research deleting pump laying around so I grabbed those up. Someone may want those.
