The exhaust system on my '79 (L-48) has gone through a few changes.
Three years ago I had the MAM 2.5" True Dual system with the Chambered Exhaust installed. It was too loud for my taste.
A while later I had the rear most portion of the exhaust system cut and installed the "Turbo" mufflers from MAM.
Today I had Magnaflows installed in place of the "Turbo" mufflers. It sounds great!
My question is this;
With the chambered sections still in place am I losing any sound quality or flow capability to the new Magnaflows?
I'd consider replacing the chambered sections with straight sections of pipe if it's necessary.
Lem'me know.

I have just the Magnaflows on my 70 and am very happy with the sound. The chambered sections will probably only cost you HP at the top end if I were guessing. Cutting them out may make the system a tad louder which can be okay if you are happy with the sound the Magnaflows make.
Eddie70,
'Not tryin' to complicate this, I swear!
BUT, if I'd gain HP at the top end, would I lose HP at the low end?
It came to mind so I had to ask.
Thanks for your thoughts on this!
