I have Magnaflow Performance Mufflers on my '76. They have a nice sound without being too loud. www.magnaflow.com

78silver,
Glad to hear its up & running! It looks like those Magnaflows got a lot of votes.

Aaron & others with the Magnaflows;
Do the Magnaflows all have dual outlets or do they come in a closer to stock looking single outlet?

They have different configurations for different years. Mine were just like the stock '68-'72 mufflers, offset inlet and single center outlet.

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

Hey longhorn,
Thanks for the reply!
I'm thinking I'll be able to replace my exhaust over the winter & I'm sold on the sound of the Magnaflows.

I used Magnaflow, on my 1979. Sounds like a Vet, I can hear the radio on a trip, when I step on it it sounds super. When you step on it who wants to hear the music anyway?

Cleon,
Mine is a '79 also. From what I've seen, lots of the Magnaflows are dual outlet.
I asked at a local speed shop about which Magnaflows would work for my '79 with 2.5 offset single inlet/outlet (I have a true dual 2.5 system). They didn't have a real firm answer on that. I'd be afraid of starting a whole saga of sending mufflers back 'n forth.
Which Magnaflows did you use? Do you know what part or model # they are?
Lem'me know.
Kevin

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
I have AeroChamber mufflers.  Louder than the Magnaflow, but not harsh at low loads.  Stop on it and it gets VERY vocal.

Are the Aero Chambers a model made by Magnaflow or are they a separate brand?

Show how much I know, eh?
