Vette(s): 1974 L-48 Auto. Just your basic Vette. GM crate motor w/vortec heads and intake. Crane cam. Scorpion rockers, Edelbrock carb. Lots of parts still in boxes... :(
Finally back to work on the car after an almost year-long hiatus: kids, work, new house, blah blah.  Yesterday, when installing the LAST HOSE (the transmission cooling line to the radiator) needed to run and test drive the car, I stripped out the tubing fitting boss in the radiator.  So now the car sits with the coolant system drained and radiator removed.  Again.  Angry

What is your best "one step forward, two steps back" moment with your Corvette?  And how many new swear words did you create during that one moment?  Censored

Mine started when I bought the vette.  Everything else seems to have been a step back...Unhappy
Actually, the only steps back were with the engine install when I had someone else do the work.  I should have done that on my own.

Mine would have been while working with the interior, either color match or parts not mating up as I felt they should. In the end it was all worth it, I think!
Keep pushing forward, as I was told when building mine its like eating an elephant, one bite at a time!
Best of luck.

Brand new chrome ps pump and hoses. hI pressure hose blew ..ps fluid all over my new bling bling motor. Brand new ceramic coated water pump. sprung leak hi speed on highway over heat and thin oily film of coolant all over new bling bling motor after building motor I decided to have T 400 trans re built. wasn't leaking or anything .. just thought why not.. Got it back. giant puddle of trans fluid under car. then funny noise. ruined brand new torque converter and had to rebuild trans again. replaced radiator with stock new. leaked after 1 year. r placed with DeWitt aluminum I'm sure there is a few more. but you get the picture. yes I still have the car. don't have any $$ left but I still have the car. I project a picture of the back roads on the wall of garage and just start the engine.. never need to worry about being towed lol

Vette(s): 1972 LT-1 convertible with factory air. 2017 Black Rose Grand Sport convertible.
Bought a DeWitts LT-1 radiator only to find out my car had a big block radiator and core support in it.  New core support took 4 months to get.
