Confused

I want to thank Mid America for being a very forthright company, and really caring about customer satisfaction.

I bought a pair of their polished stainless Steel mufflers for my 77.  The car was in the body shop, so it wasn't until a year after I bought them that i finally installed them.

They look great, but sound terrible below 1500 RPM.  The end walls of the mufflers flex and POP, sounding like a tin can being bent many times a minute.

I wrote Mid America, and they told me that they new about the problem, and if I called customer service, they would replace them with a newer version that had been reworked to fix the PROBLEM.

I called customer SERVICE and the offered to replace them free of charge with either the improved stainless ones, or with Dynomax.  They also said that they really recommended the Dynomax, as the "improved" ones were still suspect.

It sure made my day to deal with such an upstanding company.
