While looking to figure out what I have feeding the bowtie, I found this site I thought I would share. It makes sense when compared to the service manual.

http://www.recarbco.com/technical/rochester/qjet.html

I'm still trying to figure out what I have. I can't find a model number on the carb that matches a Rochester number.
Can someone confirm where the number is stamped?

The numbers are stamped on the body of the carb on the left side. Here is a link to a page that lists carbs by number and gives specs and application for each.

http://www.corvettefaq.com/redir.asp?site=215

You will need to scroll down once opening the page to find the listings. There's a lot of other very good info in there as well. |thumb|

The Qjet is long gone. I have a replacement Holley made Dec 77. The numbers don't seem to match with models online. According to web sites, stamped model in usually top plate on the front; L-8002. Sent it out yesterday to get rebuilt, not bad for a 26 year old Holley never rebuilt. Can blame it for running like crap. I took some before pictures and i'll take some after to post.
