The Q-jet on my 72' I believe has been changed. The reason why the TCS system is not correct. The number on the one I have is 17054920. Does any one have a list to determin what this fits and if it can be matched to the engine if re-built to spec? The one that is for that car/engine according to the Black Book is, 7042203 or 7042903. The one on the car I believe is for a vehicle after 1976. I would like to have the correct one, seeing all the other numbers are correct, to the best of my knowledge. THANKS Mark

Yes any number that starts with 170 is a 75 and newer. I just finished rebuilding a 7042208 carb that is off a 72 truck. rejeted it for a 7042203 manual trans. (KNOW ONE WILL EVER KNOW). If you go to swapmeets look for these code numbers. 7042 is a 72 year and 203 is manual trans and 202 is automatic.
I will e-mail you the codes to brake down the carbs.

THANKS Guys, I E-mailed the junkie. Nothing on his E-Bay site. I may have it re-jetted when re-built. Longs it runs right and gets decent gas mileage I do not care. Would be nice to have the correct number on the bowl though. Mark

THANKS DAN, MUCH appreciated. What does the "NB2" stand for? If you find a 203 laying around without a home let me know. Preciate your input/assistance.

Mark: The info I sent you came from this web site http://www.corvette-world.com
Ther is a lot of information on that site for any corvette!! Check it out. I am not sure what "NB2" means. I will find out and let you know. I'm sure it refers to a transmission type.

Hey guys,
I'm having trouble with my qjet after having the engine reubuilt with a mild cam and better heads. I took the car to my mechanic to have the carb rebuilt and he said the numbers on the carb indicated it was for a 305 and I have a 350.
I've tried to find info on an 80 vet on the sites shown above but can't seem to find any carb info. If someone has some info I would appreciate it.
