Hi everyone,
I have happily acquired and remanufactured (by Holley) Rochester Quadrajet M4MC, and put it into my 72, 350 ci C3.
After some basic tuning, idle is good, primary barrels fine but when stepping fully on the gas the car does not perform as well. It even cuts as if not enough fuel makes it to the engine. All ignition system is OK. I pulled out a couple of spark plugs to check if the carb is lean or rich. Plug color is brownish so my guess is I need to replace the secondary rods. The ones in the carb now are labeled DA. My question is what should I buy? My guess is the following measure thinner....but I am sure it won't be that simple...as usual...
All previous experiences will be welcome
If I lived in USA or somewhere close, I'd buy the racing tuning kit for Qjet, but I live in Argentina and cost makes a big diference if I just order a couple of rods (110 against 10 bucks!!)
Thanks to all
Gaston

Living where you do, if you raise enough hell about it being their fault, they would probably even pay your shipping costs.
