Original carburetor off 1981 Corvette just back from All American Carburetors in Florida. Re-manufactured......hope it runs as good as it looks.

It looks brand new Tommy, let us know how it performs.  It will be a shame to hide that pretty thing under an air cleaner. Thumbs Up

Wow..that is absolutely beautiful! You say original...does that mean you sent them yours off the car and they sent it back to you like that?? I have seen some carb remans before and they didn't plate nearly as well..hope it runs as good as it looks!! Can I ask what they charged and how long it took?

Carburetor is kicking. Didn't even have to change any settings except turn up the curb idle a little. She runs fine so far.....still likes the gas but it is a 30 year old car built before fuel milage was a factor.
Yostusota the cost was $300 plus shipping there and back which with UPS was $20 each way so $340 total in project. There web site is www.allamericancarburetor.com if anyone is interested. I'm thinking of sending my backup carb now just to have it "new" on the shelf if needed. These 1981 carbs was a one of a kind year so not many of them still aorund.

$300 for job plus shipping there and back so $340 for total. Yes that was the original carb, had a rebuilt one I had ordered on the engine while this one was sent down. She came back like new.
Was trying to reply back to yostusota's question but appears I double posted.....oh well.

That's really reasonable..I can rebuild and setup the system to run but I'm not getting into plating..I've seen people get into it but I don't really think it's worth it..I may have a new project for next winter...or if I can find a spare carb to drive the car while I get it done..it would be nice to have a really nice looking carb on there..glad it runs well for you..I think I'll put this on my list of to do's!!
