Does anyone have any experience with Classic Chambered Exhaust Inc.'s Vette-Pack side exhaust? I am currently running 2-1/4" C2 chambered mufflers behind the '69 C3 covers and the car is just too loud. Like they say. "If its too loud, your too old".
The engine is a 383 Stroker putting out approximately 510 HP. Testing my current system with a db meter in a parking lot, I am getting 88 db at idle and 96 db at 2500 RPM. I'd like to take some of the volume out without choking down the engine.
Classic Chambered offers a 2-1/4" diameter baffle inside a 3" outer body which is the largest diameter that will fit behind the '69 C3 cover. It is made up of a 20" chambered muffler and a 20" resonator. I've heard the sound bites off of their website, but I'd like to hear from some one that has heard the Vette-Packs in person.
I look forward to your response.

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.
I spoke to a representative at the Corvettes at Carlisle last year about that same system. He said it WILL DEFINITELY be loud. I was told to get the Hooker system with headers and 4 inch collectors and mufflers. Back pressure will not be diminished and sound will be more acceptable.

Haven't heard yours but I do know that the '69 side exhaust is quieter than the mid-year is.

dont know about the ones your talking about but o have Hookers WITH 4 in pipes. I startwf wich s reverse flow mufflets and it was quieter thsn the free flow mufflers i have now. however , i wanted it louder. The 383 is the music for me.

From personal experience I can tell you that a 66 big block with chambered side exhaust was a lot louder than my small block with the 69 style reverse flow side pipes.
