I want to chime in and just give some back ground on this six shooter.
Several magazines have done product spotlights on this product. Mostly street rod mags. If any of you have seen American Hot Rod on discovery channel you would have seen barry and his gang install one on the Aluma-Tub street rod build up they were doing.
After the install Barry Grant and the guys at boyds could not get it to work or run on the engine correctly. How do I know this? Well because I work with a dyno shop out on the west coast with all the magazines to do editorial build ups. The shop I work with specialize in Holley Carbs and modifing them. Best in the country hands down. No its not Westech! Anyway Boyd brought the car to them and this facility to have them find out what was wrong. Long story made short they dismantled the carbs to fix all the problems with it, put it all back together and retuned everything to make it run right. Thats the part you don't see on those TV shows.
I've also been told you have to use the Barry Grant Air cleaner with this setup.
Personally if I was going to drop that king of money I would go EFI in a second. I wouldn't even look at a carb, Holley Demon, Edelbrock or otherwise and I like carbs. I'm not trying to trash his carbs. I'm just trying to make sure our members don't run into any problems and will be happy with the money they spent. In this case it would be alot of money. I'm sure barry would have any problems resolved by now.

I saw these carbs when they first came out and thought they were pretty cool. Then I saw the price.
Ouch. They would be great if you were building an early 68-69 or midyear street toy. But for a car that is going to be driven, I believe I would go with on of the EFI also. Now that is what I am lusting after, Holley Commander 950 with the direct port injection. I just need to come across the killer deal of the century.

I'm kinda partial to GM's Ram Rod FI setup.
Looks like the old mechanical FI from the early Vettes.

They also sell the manifold & FI Setup w/ computer seperately. Unfortunately it is only for Vortec heads at this time.
