Ok, heres where I am at. I have installed the side pipe covers. They werent the easiest to get on and fit, but I think they turned out ok. Now I have to decide if I should move forward with this project. In order to go forward I have to remove my 800 mile ceramic headers (they are all but new) including the complete dual exhaust system and install the new set of ceramic side pipe headers, and then have the pipes fit and welded up.
So I thought I would get some advice on which way to go, from the guys that know about corvettes from here on the C3VR. So shoot me your thoughts.
Here are a few pics if I can post them!

Hopefully the pics will work, If not maybe Joel or someone can correct the link!
Look forward to see what you all think!
Thanks

Rodney, the side pipes do look awesome, but your current exhast looks killer, too! I don't envy your decision but if were me and the current exhaust looks and fits that good, I would probably leave it. Now if the existing exhaust were bad or gone, I would go with the side pipes. Either way you go, it WILL look awesome!

Wow, I love the look. It has to be one of the classiest looking side pipe's I've seen.

I think it compliments the car, your car is a custom bumper car and they scream custom.
Just sayin...........

Latest update,
I went out tonight and to start the removal process of the dual exhaust system and headers. Thought that would be good progress for one night of work. Well I had the duals and headers off in just over 20 minutes. Wow, not bad I say, so I decide i'll go ahead and start the install of the new headers. The right side went on and bolts up in 15 minutes. I'm thinking this is to easy, so I go to the drivers side. IT DONT FIT! The flange points towards the front of the car and hits the power assist standoff bracket. So i do some additional checking and I see that both headers have the same part number. So I go back inside and make a phone call to the supplier of the headers and I am told that they are the same for both sides. I tell them that cant be correct because they both are tilted in the same direction and that means once on the car one flange goes back and one goes forward.

http://i1014.photobucket.com/albums/af270/rod7515/Side%20pipe%20headers/DSCN0816_zps2b891ee2.jpg
Then she tells me that they need pics of the headers together. I tell her the one is already on the car but she says I need to take pics side by side. So I pull the right one down and take the pics and send them to her. (See above pics) She never calls me back. So I call again only to find out she left for the night but before she did she sent an email. the email says I have no problem and the headers are correct.
SO i get someone else to look into this and now I sit here waiting to see what they suggest to resolve this. Sometimes it just becomes so frustrating!
Any way here are the pics of the exhaust I took off. I plan on keeping this system for a while to see how I make out and if I ever get it resolved will I like the sound of the side pipes.

Well its now 9:45PM so I guess I'll call customer service again and see if theres any resolution yet! Wish me Luck!

Newest Update: Got a call back at 10:30 PM tonight and they Customer service rep said he reviewed the pics with his boss and they are sending out another set of headers tomorrow. They agree that both the headers I have are the same side. I am to pick the header from the new set that I need and then call him back next week and he will arrange pickup of the old set. Hopefully everything will work out ok now!

Like everyone else, I like the sidepipes. And your wheels, and your working area. What company are you dealing with?
And yes, nice Vette!
