What you get on most budget headers (not to disparage Summit), is generally thinner gauge tubing which won't last as long, and thinner flanges, which causes constant exhaust leaks from bolts backing out.
You can be very happy with Summit and other budget brand headers, just don't expect to get the longevity and long-term performance out of them.
For my money, go with Sanderson Headers...as good as they get and the thickest exhaust flanges on the market.

PUT ON SOME HEADERS THAT WILL LAST. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY. iNSTALLING HEADERS ON OUR CARS ARE A REAL PIA. bEWARE OF HOOKER CERAMIC COATED HEADERS FROM SUMMIT. sURFACE RUST. i RETURNED 3 SETS IN AS MANY MONTHS. I FINALLY SPENT AN EXTRA $300.00 AND BOUGHT FROM JET-HOT. SAME HOOKER HEADERS ,BETTER QUALITY FINISH.
I also have a "Sunday" driver (of every other month if we look at the past 2 years trend...). I replaced my old Hedmans for another set of the same that I bough from Summit. They were painted black. I insist on "were". In less than 1 hour and a lot of smoke (which scared the heck out of me at first), the paint has burned and they looked like the old ones. Only problem now; they leak!
I only have 2 hours of driving on them, and the bolt have already backed out a little; enough to leak.
Mine were in the ballpark of 300$. If I had to do it again, I would definitely take ceramic coating, especially with a big block. The heat is really intense. My old headers did not burn my wires. I'm on my third set now (and yes, within 2 hours). At over 100$ per set of wires, it's easy ti figure out that I should have spent 500-600$ in the beginning. No burned wires; less heat throughout and they would have kept their look (which is really not on my priority list, but really nice to have when new...).
