Vette(s): 1969 L89 4speed Convertible, older restoration, driver, original green/blk/blk now red/blk/blk 1971 454 Convert 4speed, Project / driver car, NOM Originally red/red, now blk/blk/blk 71 was SOLD! 1968 427 4 speed convert, red/red/white, was sold!
I know they made them.
Who has any of the special tools, sockets or wrenches, to work on the fuel lines and inlet fittings for the Tri power?
Specifically to hold the fuel inlet fitting still and/or tighten it.

one inch thin sholder and/or special angle wrenchs?
or
thin shoulder socket with window ?

I found that Mac tools still has a 1" double open end wrench, with one large angle, made from very thin "flat" metal. tool #S141
They had "Lots" of special carb tools, that have been obsoleted.
I am waiting to hear from other sources.

Is there some reason a regular 1" wrench will not fit on the fitting(s)? I can't say that I've ever had an issue like this on the Tri-powers...am I missing something here?

It is a tight fit if you have to work on them much. A regular wrench has to big of a shoulder to get a good fit on the inlet fitting, depending on where it ends up at rotation wise, between the fitting and the soulder of the fuel bowl and the body of the next carb.
Same with the regular flare nut wrench, to much shoulder on it to be able to turn the fuel line nut much.
I have had multiple people point out to me I had a small fuel leak on my manifold, to my shame, many times. And is super slow but still there.

There are 12 point line wrenches available, and they are fairly thin in cross section. The thin part will help with getting it on/off, and the 12 point will help with the turning just a 1/16" at a time! I think I actually have one...somewhere. I'll look in da garage first, but if it ain't in the tool box here, I'll have to go to the storage building. I'll see what I can come up with, in case you can't get something from one of the "other" sources you mentioned.

I'd be happy to have any tool part number and brand info you can give me!
This is the first I ever heard of 12 point flare nut wrenches.

Here is one of the wrenches I was referring to. The brand name is PAR-X, which is actually a low cost off-shoot of Crap-on. You could, at one time, actually buy this brand from Crap-on, but I'm not sure if they still carry them on the trucks. Anyway, it is a 12-point type, so you have a little more lee-way with being able to turn a fitting just a bit at a time, due to space considerations. So, just so you know, they are out there! Hope you can locate something similar. If not, I'll dig deeper into my treasure chest, and see if I have a spare...
I bought this set years ago for Diesel work...they come in handy for injector lines.
