One more alibi.

Won't the pre-formed line eliminate the in-line filter?  I was hoping to retain an in-line filter.
All you need to do is cut the preformed line, removing the space needed for your filter, add a flare nut to each end and use the flaring tool to reflare. I don't know if you've ever used a flare block. If you haven't just practice on some old tubing...it's not hard to do.

The '71 LS5 used a Qjet carb, so the line shown will not fit.  Since you apparently already have modifications, I would try to find the use of an air/fuel meter and recheck your mixtures at part throttle, wide open throttle, and idle.  Joel is right that headers quite often lean out the mixture.

The fuel line above is fer a small block anyway...

This one is for a big block, but as Larry states above, it is for a Quadrapuke carb. Depending on the inlet location of the Holley, it might fit with a little bending, but you'll have to cut any line you get for the in-line filter...

...unless...perhaps the fuel line(s) for a tri-power would work?

It's starting to sound like a big hassle...might just as well cut/bend your own...which is what you were gonna do to start with!

If you decide to rent/borrow a flaring tool, get one that does a double flare...meaning it "folds" the outer(cut) part of the line back into itself, leaving a nice, smooth end for the hose to fit onto.Adams' Apple2008-11-18 11:25:28
