Ok here is a question for everyone that has an original LT1 equipped with a Holley or anyone that has made the swap over to a Holley.

What is the part number for the throttle cable and cable mounting bracket for C3's equipped with a Holley Carb? Is the Cable for the Qjet and Holley equipped c3's different?

I am running a 0-80783 650 cfm Holley on mine, but what I did was modify the Q-jet cable mounting bracket with an extension to get the cable in the right position. I would like to go to a factory looking piece. I have a friend a LOKAR that says they have all the pieces to work with the Holley, but I would have to use one of thier cables. Not a big deal, but it would be extra work to install a new cable if the current cable will work with just a bracket change.

Any help or knowledge would be helpful. |saluteflag|

I have a Holley 4160 Vac secondary Carb on my 72 BB, and use the stock throttle cable. It seems to match up pretty well.

No help here, I'm afraid.

Vette(s): '75 Corvette coupe e/w ZZ4 crate motor
Aftershark.
I had the same problem when I installed a ZZ4 crate motor equipped with a 650 Holley in my '75 coupe. I tried all the aftermarket linkage products and also contacted Holley direct. They suggested another bracket, the local speed shop said it wouldn't work and sold me something else that didn't work. I finally took most of the brackets back. I kept the adjustable SPECTRE bracket that bolts at the base of the carb and fabricated my own plate to fit on the Holley linkage itself. This new plate gets the throttle cable in the right place on the carb linkage. I have since supplied a few friends with the plate/adapter.
I can't believe that I was the first to put a Holley carb on a Vette!!! yet the aftermarket doesn't make a bracket set to fit. It now works perfect, with the gas peddle at rest the carb is fully closed and with the pedal all the way to the floor the carb is fully open, no binding, no bending. In my search for the ultimate linkage I found many cars where the throttle did not fully open or worse, when the peddle was at rest the carb did no fully close!! Quite dangerous.
Good luck with your search. Spend some time and make sure your linkage works for your car.

the linkage works fine now. But I know there has to be a factory setup as the LT1 Corvettes had a Holley from the factory. I would figure those parts are available in repop. I too share in your search for the right bracket. I modified my piece and it works great, but it looks like a fabricated piece not factory

I had to make one for mine when I put the Holley on. The new style brackets might have worked if you change the throttle cable to teh newer style.

Ok I've been researching this and I believe there are two options.

Doc Rebuild has a part that says its thottle cable bracket for a holley. Its a replacement piece from GM, not a NOS part. The part number on it is 3459210. I asked if the Qject and Holley Equipped C3 used the same throttle cable and just a different bracket, but the lady on the phone couldn't tell me. She said if I would email Doc that he could probably answer that Question. I didn't take the time to do that, but my gut tells me it will work.

Also Mr Gasket has a piece Part number 9885 that will work with the round or square cable mounts. If you run the turbo 350 you will need their kickdown bracket P/N 9886. I'm certain these will do the trick.

Lokar has a bracket as well, but would require replacing the factory cables with their cables. Their stuff is really nice, with the nice price tag to go with it.

Maybe I'm reaching here just a bit, but wasn't there such a thing as a spreadbore holley? It would have an entirely different base and sit on the same manifold as the q-junk?

Yep there is. Have one on "The Toy". Can't help with numbers or anything off of it until mid-April though 'cuz it's tucked away in the storage facility 25 miles away.
