I don't think anyone out there is redoing protect-plates, but I could be wrong. I am very sure a build sticker is all but possible to be reproduced. If there us a build sheet on the top of your gas tank, the best thing to do is drop the tank and take a very detailed photo of the sheet. If not there you'll have to do the numbers check and assembly dates on engine block, trans., carb, distributor, and the rear diff. Good luck and let us know what you find-Flandy

Turn your caps lock key off.
Your car may have a tank sticker as posted, but don't bet the farm on it. You may or may not find something on the tank and if something is there, it may not be legible.

That's what you're looking for. Be aware this particular example is one of the better ones.
Your best source of original documentation would come from previous owners of the car. Check with the seller to see whether he/she has any documentation for the car

Yes. There is an outfit which will stamp a new protect-o-plate for you, but they reply upon information from you in order to stamp the plate.
Rick Bizzoco's 1969 Stingray Guidebook is an excellent source for '69 owners and great reading for folks who don't have a '69. It's pricey, but it's good.

I`M GONNA HAVE TO GET ME ONE OF THOSE. THANKS FOR THE LINK MIKE.
Bizzoco's book is great. Very detailed and '69 specific, but good reading. Both books by M. F. Dobbins are also good. Vette Views 1968-72 Corvette Fact Book and the 1973-77 Fact Book.
