I have acquired a 79. Partially put together. So I don’t have all the parts. The rear bumper was taken off and I do have that. Still on the car is a factory spoiler on the rear. My question is if the car had the rear spoiler, would the front have had the flare spoiler that goes out the front fenders? Or would it have had a single black air (dam)? Or spoiler. ?

it appears it could have had a body off some type of restoration in its past. I just don’t have all the parts yet to finish it. If they came with factory front and rear pace spoilers, I’ll probably get one and have it painted.

Thank You,

The '78 Pace car spoilers were available in '79 for anyone who wanted to order them from the factory...or the dealer. Normally, if there is one on the car, it would have both, BUT....it depends on if they were added by a previous owner. They might have only added the rear one. The black plastic air dam in the front tells me your car probably did not have the Pace car type spoiler package from the factory, but you can certainly add the front one if you wish....it is your car.

Thank you for the reply, I’m pretty sure the rear spoiler was done by factory or dealer. The front, well I don’t have any of those parts. You are correct I’ll do what I want. Would there be apparent holes in the front lip of the fenders where it would have been? I have more questions about some other things about this car, I guess I’ll post them as I get some time.

thank you,

There should bee SOME evidence of it having the front spoiler if it was installed. I believe there were two small holes in the fender for the attachment forward of the front wheelwell...I'd have to look in the manual....

Thank You for the reply.

I will check and see if I see any holes existing there.
