Hi
On my 69 I’m having several problems with the hood & wiper door hood not operating properly. Popping up, Slow, Headlights don’t come up or go down together. Looking for some experienced way to check out the associated parts. Thanks in advance.
Good place to start is hose ends. Check for good fit and split ends. Trim them just a little. A vacuum leak is most likely the culprit. Also a little squirt of WD40 on all rotating parts will make movement smoother.
I have a TON of headlight/wiper door troubleshooting info on My Web Page
Good place to start is knowing how they're supposed to work first. Something that effects both the headlights and wipers would point to the main vacuum source at the rear of the intake.
(There are 4 pages of tech there...you'll need to scroll down the menu on the right side to see all 4 pages.)

Hi
Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at the link Adams Apple provided - but it is really small & fuzzy on my small screen. I just can't read most of it.

Use a computer instead of your phone. Easily readable.
Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm not using a phone. It's a tablet and it looks fuzzy & cut off.
Just like the assembly manuals that have been photocopied over & over.
On my diagrams, if you right click on the diagram, then "open in a new window/tab", you can enlarge the diagrams.

Thanks for the tip on the diagrams. I already have a good one that I know is accurate.
Trying to read the other information is difficult. One side is cut off on the section marked 4. Others are very faded & I can't read them all.
Then spend the $4 at Dr. Rebuild for the same troubleshooting guide.
