How bought the trim tag on the door jamb? Post the last 5 nos. of your VIN or the letter/number from the trim tag and someone will chime in.

Your car was assembled in October '69.  The date code on the trim tag should give a day of assembly, or more accurately, the day the body and chassis were mated, but not necessarily completed.

I'd say closer to the first week of October.

Sure.  Corvette VINs are sequential.  The first '69 was 700001; the last was 738762.  The Corvette Black Book and other reference sources list the monthly ending production totals when the informaiton is known.

Your car, 731402, was the 31,402nd 1969 Corvette assembled.  Black Book says October, 1969.

(7 is the car line series code for 1969 Corvettes.  All '69 Corvette VINs have the 7.).

Vette(s): 1969 CORVETTE COUPE 350/300HP
VIN ID = 1 is line- Chevrolet, 94 is Series- Corvette 8 Cyl, 37 is Body- Sport Coupe 2 door,9 is year- 1969, S is assembly- St. Louis and 731402 is Serial number.   September serial #'s ended with 730963 so yours is October. Seeing 69's don't have alot of production info about the car, go to the following site to get your other different codes and info on options and production codes.    http://www.rowleycorvette.com/stats69.html
ALSO:
Any of you guys out there an original owner of their '69 ?   Got some questions on things we received > like a Corvette Owners Identification card (credit card size in plastic) , letter from John Z. Delorean, Corvette News subscription etc. along with our vette. Thanks Sixtynine
