The car that cilrah posted appears to be worth every penny. No way
could you do a full resto for 35k and do it right. I would buy that car
at the BIN price in a NY minute...if I sold my current Vette, Harley,
boat, and dirt bikes

Vette(s): #1 -1969 Corvette Coupe Riverside Gold, black interior,MN,A/C,350/350,PS,PB,window cranks.
#2 -2000 C5, black/black, 6 sp, Bose system & lots of buttons.
That one was nice, but ............ I wouldn't buy it, it's an automatic and not all original. I just like a historical car to be as much as original as possible, it's a "history" thing. Guess I'm too picky.

That C3 I was (white one) turned out to be a '72. It was depressing. Some jerk cut the fiberglass out where the exhaust pipes come out in the back and put side pipes on. I crawled under it..........OMG..........rust and the spare tire carrier was GONE!
Needed a new rear suspension too. I asked the guy to open the hood..........

......the cable broke and he couldn't get it open....
I also saw a BIG GREASE SPOT underneath on the passenger side..........YIKES............! I had to take a DEEP BREATH so I wouldn't cry.

Ah yes, greetings to my fellow stoners from years gone by. I haven't touched a joint since 1972. I don't know if I bumped into any of you at Woodstock but I vaguely remember bumping into quite a few people.
Micki;
How much was it?
I saw a '78 painted like a Pace Car, but no stickers with the SA logo on the nose. It had a chunk out of the left rear fender at the lip, really really bad shap (did have the correct wheels though), L-82 valve covers but I didn't take the time to check the VIN as when I tried to sit in it, the seat wouldn't go back, the bins had no covers and he told me it kept draining the battery every day.
The funny part.....
He wanted $4,000

And he said it with a straight face!!!

Hey ajt, I just checked my 68-82 market guide in Junes Corvette Magazine. A 69 Show ready T goes for $44,000, in good condition $29000, average it goes for$20,100, a 69 show ready vert goes for $53,000, good condition $35,000, average $25,000.
Add $2,000 for 350/350,add $5,000 for Lt1, add $8,000 for 454, add $15,000 for 427/400, add $20,000 for 427/435, add 75% for L89, add 500% for L88Good Luck, Gene

Thanks for all the advice guys! You could say i'm a woodstock baby in a sense, being born on the day of Woodstock (only my parents weren't there). I keep checking all the sites i can find for a 69 vette. There are many to choose from. I'll need to find a mechanic when hunting around. If you hear of any 69 vettes being sold with Automatic trans and A/C, let me know.
