Since I cant seem to make any headway on the car I decided to change out the 15" Cragars with 17" Torque Thrust II's. So which do you like better?

BOTH sets look GREAT on the car, and a period correct, style-wise.
However....I have an affinity for Cragar S/S rims.....wish I could afford a set for my '74. I still think the Cragar S/S was the BEST all-around custom rim ever.....EVER! A close second was the Ansen Sprint rims...which my '74 had on it when I bought it. I messed up Royally getting rid of them....Cry

Either way Rodney, they BOTH look perfect on yer '72.  Thumbs Up

As Joel so aptly statd, they BOTH look good! The Cragers give it that period look while the Torq- thrust wheels give it that updated look, while retaining the style. I kinda lean torward the Torq-thrusts, just something about them looks really cool! Either way, you can't go wrong!

I agree that both look great, but the TT w/ 17s give it a fresher look and sure offer more tire choices.

Im still not sure I will be able to drive the 72 to Carlisle this weekend. I have 2 nights left to work and one of them is a golf night until dark. I finally got the trans cooler on tonight and piped up. Didnt get to test drive it yet to see if it runs cooler. I cant finish the wipers until after carlisle because I hope to buy a good set of wiper arms there. Also I still have the door panels to put on. There are so many little things to finish and a lot of things that will need to be redone this winter. Tomorrow night after golf I hope to get the seats and belts in then hopefully the door panels. That leaves Thursday night for the test drive to see if its even fit for the road. Weather looks good so thats a plus!
See you guys Friday morning bright and early!
Rodney

Ebo, I will bring the front bumpers but I dont think the lizard skin is still usable. Its been months since it was mixed for spraying and it dont look very sprayable. Sorry.

I'm really keeping my fingers crossed on you bringing that car to show it off!

Well the car is getting closer to being ready for a road trip. Last week as I said in another post Rich came over 2 nights and helped me get the rear and trailing arms swapped out. We did the rear brakes, and 4 shock replacements and went for a test drive. Everything went well. Then I had 3 nights this week to work on it myself. I did the front brakes, drained the trans, replace the filter, changed the speedo gear, removed the temp trans lines and temp filter. Replaced them with the solid stainless lines. they were very hard to work with but once in place seem to be good. I replaced the side mirror, changed the engine oil and filter, then replaced the front brake lines with the braided lines like the ones we did on the rear. Bled the brakes and off for another test drive. It is amazing how much smoother the car rides. Still have quite a list of things to complete in the next 2 weeks. I removed the wiper door and lift assembly and found out the somewhere in the past the lift assembly had broken and was welded back together on both ends. This is probably the reason that the door doesnt close in a good match to the car. Hopefully I can make some kind of adjustment that will work.
I dont get home until Sunday night so I cant start back on it until Monday night. I'll keep you updated on the progress until its time to leave on Thursday Oct. 11 for Ocean City!
