They are using DA sanders and block sanding all the way. It had three coats of paint to remove. The paint booth is a downdraft and  Hermetically Sealed and controlled environment. Looks pretty fancy with two little windows. I am having a three stage paint put on it with two colors. 2008 Crystal Red Met. and Glossy Black Stripe. Primer, base coat, mid coat then clear coat. The paint being used will be Martin Senour Urethane Enamel.
You guys have good eyes the fender corners were done poorly in the past and he decided to cut them out. The whole front end and rear end will be reseated and fitted. Additionally new chrome rear deck grills, fuel door, tail light conversion, seat belts, paint brake calipers  and add side mirror. Also he is fixing  quite  a few other things,  every time I ask him if  he can  fix something he says sure.  Quite agreeable guy, I asked him if the price has changed and he said no. He told me he will let me know if anything will cost more. I guess he figured on most of the work. We talked about the Motion Type Stripe and he will be doing that also.

Some new pictures showing the progress. Pretty close to being ready to prime. All the body parts are fitted except I asked them to fill the gaps on the doors a little more. Hopefully I will get the Vette back around the middle of April.

Looks great, Gene!Thumbs%20Up  How did you strip the paint?  Chemical?  Block sand?  Did you have to fill in where the panels are bonded together on the fenders?  My 72 is showing lines on all 4 fenders and across the back.  I'll be watching this project.  Good luck!!

If I come by early in my truck can I borrow the hood before you ruin it with that green paint? It would look so nice in black.....

She's startin to take shape..... seein those pics reminded me of how much dust gets into the places you don't want it. I was forever and a day cleanin out the engine compartment!

You will be asking yourself why you didn't try to cover it up some when you get started....... aaaaaarrrrggghhh!
