Very interesting..........as Larry (Tux) mentioned why in the world, didn't anyone cover the engine??? I know that I jump head over heels going into projects, and manange to overlook some of the finer details. My wife will come along and offer........."why didn't you take the extra time to cover" this or that. You kind of think...........YA.......why didn't I (all that I can think is that I'm stupid)! Thanks for sharing.

Yes,I know about the engine getting dirty. I guess I assumed they would tape it off. I do expect them to clean the interior and under the hood we will see. Maybe I better make sure they have enough sense to not start it up till it's cleaned. I surely don't want the dust sucked into the engine.
Eh... (Tux) Black would be nice. My friend (bluthundr) I am working with is painting his '76  Black we will be seeing some pictures of it this Summer. But it's going to be RED this time. I still have a stock green hood no idea what to do with it other than store it.

Gene,

Your color combination sounds great especially with the Motion style stripping - you had mentioned that you were getting ready to get her painted, definitely well on your way to a new ride this Summer.
Keep posting the progress.

First coat of primer on the Vette. I had asked for the door gaps to be filled in some. One week later done. I looked it over pretty good , getting close to putting the paint on.  Thanks for all the comments.
( I got dust on the camera lens in some of these pictures )

Got some new pics. Making progress with door jambs and misc. parts showing the Crystal Red. The underside of the hood wasn't smoothed out real good , but I have plans smooth it out and add a mural later anyway.I had them  trim under hood in black then paint the center area in red.The pictures really don't show how deep the red is in person. But.... I like it! All in all I am pretty pleased, especially with the color.
Closest guess to  being finished 2 to 4 weeks.
