Vette(s): 1978 L48, p/s, p/w/ factory ac car factory manual trans has a 350 crate engine w/260hp, but also have original which may be rebuilt- we also have a 76 w/ a 454, and 74 350 in various stages of being rebuilt, plus an 86 and an 02....
OK- updates on the projects- 76 is getting there.  Jim has the 454 about ready- got the serpentine belt sys on this weekend, and have almost everything for it now- including the sidepipes... (-:  Even though the 78 is in much better shape, that 76 grabbed me from the beggining.  Don't know why but I LOVE that car- plus it will have my dream paint, stinger hood... all the fun stuff that I can't do to an original car.  I'll try to upload some engine and parts pics soon.  If anyone has reccomendations for gelcoat and paint in the Dallas area let me know....

Becca, talk to Rich, at Corvette Corner in Rowlet. He'll be able to point ya to a qualified Corvette paint/body place. He's in your neck-o-da-woods, and a Super nice guy, too!

I have another place that I would highly recommend, in Dallas, but...they do excellent work, and get paid accordingly...$$$$$

THanks for the suggestion Joel- will definately check it out!!  Next question- anyone know anything about mixing paint????  I've picked the color- kinda unusual, and the only way I can get what I want is to mix 2 colors, then add flake.  I figure for the main color- mix 3/4 gallon firemist candy red with 1 qt. firemist maroon, add maroon flake - then for black on stinger hood, do black with maroon flake- sound like it'll work?  I don't want it to look like any other car, and I'm way picky on how the paint looks.  Leave it to us girls....... has to be pretty and awesome mechanically...

Maybe if you take the paint to Home Depot or Lowes they will shake it up for you. I know my local hardware store will do it.
Can't hurt to ask.

Now will that look like a dark PINK?
