Vette(s): In process of buying a 75 Mako Shark Corvette, 350 4-spd. Black on Black.
Okay, I got pics of this car that was supposed to be a Mako II. Well, from the pics...it isn't. It has a 350 4spd, tilt front and large whale tail type spoiler, Edelbrock Performer Intake and carb. Owner bought it from Atlanta, GA, where it was being raced. Black with blue int. Frame is tweeked, but comes with another bare frame in good condition. Runs/Drives. Body is good but needs interior work and paint. My question is what is a fair price for a car like this with the extra frame??? I am not sure how to attach or post the pics... but would appreciate any help on car value. I can email pics to a helpful soul... *grin*

Thanks!

It will cost you about $15k to get that car back to being a stock NOM 79 which would be worth about $10K. If you like the way it looks it is worth what you will pay for it. If you where selling it it would be close to worthless.

Nobody can give you a value to put on this car....

It really depends on what the buyer is looking for any customized Corvette is worth less then an original Corvette UNLESS the buyer likes it....

Personally I have no problems with modifing a car to suit my tastes BUT I also realize that others may not...

welcome to the group,
purists will hate any custom,
so remember a custom is built to suit a person,
I love custome, I dont like blending into the flock so I personalize all my cars,

the value of that car is poor due to the fact of all it would take to make it work, drive etc not the custom work which to me was well done and very tastefull,

if you want stock great driving 78-82's can be found for 6 grand and up if you want custom great driving ones can be had 6 grand and up,
my point is get what you want to make you happy,
just that car would take 10 grand easy to get it good running driving...
tyla.
