Topic: 82 CE owners manual - Addendums?
in Forum: C3 General Discussion
A quick question for the more detail-oriented fans. How can I tell if the owner's manual in my '82 CE is original or a high quality reprint? Also, did the CE come with any special addendums or additions to the manual? I don't have any ...

I think, but I'm not 100% sure, the CEs had their own owner's manual, different from the other '82s.
Also, most of the reprints have really bad qualiy, as far as the photos in them. Very dark, and unclear.
With all of the CE owners here, I'm sure someone will have the answer...
Good info over at 82cereigstry too, largely thanks to Iron82. You just gotta love C3 people - Real hobbyist always willing to help!
I'm here to help in anyway possible. As long as I have the answer to the question.
Besides, the regular '82's did have the half white and half blue owners manual. WAY different then our 'CE '82's as you can see.
Thats the same one I have.I don't have the radio one.Are the avaiable in reprint?
I haven't seen any reprints of the radio manuals. If I or someone else finds some we'll let you know. Just keep an eye out on Ebay. Thinks pop up sometimes their.
If you need a copy. I wouldn't mind copying mine and sending to you. Let me know what you want to do.

I have collected most of the factory issued paperwerk(info booklets) for my '74, as it had nuthin when I bought it. I found most of what I have at swap-meets....at very reasonable prices. I also bought a couple of booklets from a friend of a friend that has a '74, and had all of the stuff. His price was a wee bit high....

I still don't have everything, but I do have more than nuthin...

I have had three 82 Collector Edition cars. Two had original Owner's manuals. If any manuals were fakes, then they were clever ones.
Obviously, the general condition could indicate age. The CE manual also had the collector edition logo stamped on it.
I have never seen an addendum to any owner's manual. I belong to NCRS and know of no addendum; however, the correct radio information is required if you plan to attempt an award there (not so much for Top Flight, but yes for McClellan award).
