MY RACK WAS SET UP TO HOLD CASSETTES, BUT I REMOVED IT SO I COULD HAVE A REAL GLOVE BOX.

If you leave the divider in place for judging, don't forget to put some vintage 8 track tapes in there.
Was there a owner's instruction tape that came with the car?

Didn't see one anywhere. But I do have the original owners manual, tire warranty book, and radio manual. Also came with a vintage 8 track to cassette adapter. Put your cassette in the adapter then stick it in the slot. I haven't had a chance yet to see if the 8 track works. One other nice addition was the build sheet in a 3 ring binder sleeve. I wish I could get a duplicate. This one is missing about 1/4 of it in a V out of the top. It still has all the options on the bottom half though.

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
I'm pulling my 8 track out along with the dividers. I will be replacing it with a new radio. I do not plan on having my 82 CE judged but will be restoring it in most other ways. Mite be talked out of the 8 track. If some one is interested. Send PM

What's an 8 Track?
My 82 also had the 8 track dividers and I removed them and placed in the box with my other OEM parts.

It was a stereo system that was considered top of the line for a very short time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stereo_8 will give you a lot of good info on it.

Believe it or not, my father actually had a 4 track tape player. Try to find one of those now, or the tapes to play in it. Tom

I know... I was kidding. I had an 8 track in my first auto - 1971 GMC PU and I had Jimmy Hendrix ??, Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits and Stevy Windwood 8 tracks. Those were the days were they not?!
