Anyone ever add a GPS device to track your corvette online just in case it ever gets stolen? I have a 1969 show car that I rarely drive because I am affraid to leave it anywhere.

There are two or three out there that are supose to be good - I think there was a post on this several months ago - I'll see if i can find it - They work like LOJAX - only you can monitor it yourself instead of paying some-one a monthly service fee

Otay...here's the problem with that particular thread....
It appears to be an advertisment...not allowed
It was moved so no-one else could respond to it.

Here is a company that makes a real time GPS tracking system. They have some other interesting hi tech stuff as well. I don't own any of their products so I can't say how well they work. Not even sure where you can go to buy their product. This is not a sales pitch, www.hissusa.com

It was moved to the Moderators forum because it appeared to be an ad for a non-sponsor.  On the bright side, the forum security is working!

Lo/Jack charges a one time fee depending on several factors, they will answer any & all questions.  They will install anywhere you want & it works as they are tied into most local & state police. If not they send ther own people to track it down. You will know where you car or vehicle is within 5-15 minutes almost anywhere in the country & especially where most cars are stolen. I use it & have many friends in the construction business have it  installed in expensive equipment. We recently had a very expensive Mustang stolen in the area &  LoJack found it the same day & the police busted a mulit-million dollar chop shop within 15 minutes of my house. I have insured my vet for its value , but could I ever replace it....I don't think so.

The hissusa site has an interesting product. I am surprised this type of product is not more widely used in cars like ours. It seems to be the way to go. I figured when I asked about a GPS product many people would write back with several products and tell me about the experience and which one was best and why. It does not seem like it has really caught on yet.
