With the coming of first real snow I decied to put my car up until spring. It will give me some time to do the little fixes I have been putting off. I need to replace the steering control valve as well as replace the soft nose that cracked last Oct. I will be getting the wheel alignment check next spring as well, it has been about 8 years since I did that. The tires show some ware.

SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe
I know the feeling.  Made the decision to pull the insurance (collision/liability) off "The Toy" and "The Beast" after Thanksgiving.  Seemed like we'd been tempting fate with the occasional drive.  Mother Nature had been doing a pretty good job of  keeping Ol' Man Winter at bay this fall but we knew the bottom would fall out sooner than later.

Went to change the oil on both of them yesterday but couldn't the drain plug free on the LT-5.  This was the first time doing this task on "The Beast" so when I spun the socket once on the plug decided to call the local Bow-Tie shop to see if they could take a look at it.  Drove it over there (sans the road insurance) and they were able to get the plug free.  They even completed the oil change using my oil and filter.  First time I've been in and out of a dealership for under $30 (on non-warranty work).

On the way home I opened up the secondaries a couple of times for fun.  That LT-5 sure has some serious SCOOT...!!!  Woke up this morning to a dusting of snow so the timing was good.  The toys won't see the street now until the April showers come to clean off the grit and stuff MNDOT is so generous with dumping on the roads.

But have the 400 from "BIGBRRD" in the garage to get cleaned up and ready for putting back in its natural place as well as several projects on "The Toy" to tackle.  Then when "BIGBRRD" comes home from the body shop there will be things to do on it to get ready for summer so lots of things to make the cold days pass quickly (hopefully!).

That's a good point!
If I could drive mine all year long, nothing would get updated until it broke.

Hey Brian, I was up north over the weekend. They got around 2 feet of snow up there. We don't have it so bad.
