My wife and I returned last night from south Florida after a 3 day mini vacation and C3 purchase agreement. After a 9 month search our new baby will arrive in about 3 weeks. It started last summer and ended on Monday when we found our C3 A 1969 Cortez Silver 427/390 4SP # match Coupe with PS PB side exhaust. The gentleman we purchased this car from gave us one of the best buying expirences ever. I would recomend this man to anybody. We met on Monday morning at his Corvette only shop and there she sat front and center. He showed us around the car, pointing out the all the pertinent #'s on the engine and the trim tag. He pointed out all the defects,,front surround rivet bumps, a cracked drivers side grill section, and the incorrect console section around the emrg brake handle. We then drove the car, first him, then me, and lastly my wife. We didn't stop grinning for about 2 hours. Next we took the car to a corvette only mechanic that does all his inspections and repairs. We got it up on a lift and began going over the chassis. He pointed out a rusted section on each side in front of the rear wheels that he will install new endcaps and weld in new frame sections. I noticed that the PS box was leaking and he offered immediately said he will repiar that as well, All this , and still keeping the orig asking price. We had a handshake agreement and then arranged shipping. He has already ordered and will install the new grill and console parts. What a great trip. |bouncy|

The asking price was north of 27K and south of 32k. From my research this was about were it should be for this car in that condition. If anyone is interested the dealers name is Steve Barker and is shop is called Corvette Expereince. |cool|
