Ken, could it be that you helped guys keep their cars on the road longer because of your radio program?

I would like to think it helped. I had several people call in the next week and say it helped. I know I liked doing the show. Alas, it has been a few years.
Well,,,,,,I tried a little weight in the back and a little driving, but the weather has not been very cooprative. Lots of salt on the NJ roads right now.
I went with the VBP 10" Bolts with poly bushings, and I ended up using 9" of the bolts. It's still a little high but I think it will relax when I can put some real miles on the car.
You guys couldn't have been more right about the alignment, I finally got the camber looking good (by eye), but the left rear tire is pretty toed out.
A trip to the alignment shop is truly a must after replacing major rear suspension parts.
After I get the car aligned, I will cut off the remainder portion of the bolts. I'll probably have to keep trimming the bolts as the spring settles and I have to turn on the bolts a little.
Have a Happy New Year!!!

Anthony, I changed my original gymkahana rear spring with a replacement steel last winter and was extremely disatisfied with the aftermarket spring. I was 3-4" higher than before and was told that it would settle. After three months and a few hundred miles, almost no settle. Changed out the new spring to VBP 330lbs composite and instant great ride height and better ride overall. Also, the new steel rode like a pogo stick. There were allot of posts around the same time with other folks having spring problems, not sure why.

Fla-V,
That's not a very encouraging post. I hate to think that I spent all that $$$ and I'm not going to be happy.
I'll have to give it the summer to see what happens. I would prefer to keep things relatively stock.
If I get PO'd enough, I may rebuild the old spring & throw it back in.
I hope this doesn't happen when I get around to changing the front springs.
We'll see what happens..........
