Anyone know where I can borrow a Helicopter. I'm sure I could figure out how to drive it (or is it fly it)??!!

Actually, it won't be hard to come up with the number of cars or the actual design, we do a lot of GPS jobs mapping of air ports and city piping systems, with aerial photography. Between our GPS and Cadd people that part will be easy. The hard part will be getting the numbers of cars in one place. My guess it will take at least a year to get it together, with a lot of help. Depending on how big we design it it will take several hours just to park all the cars. As to how to take a photo of it a plane, if we do it near a local air port and they are everywhere, I mite be able to get one of our aerial guys to do that. What we need is help, sponsors, maybe GM (LOL) or a poster company. Adam just think how it would look on the cover of next years calendar. We can all see there is lots to work out, but it would be a great event to work towards.

I e-mailed, GM, Ecklers, and Bobbie Jo at the NMC, I'll let you know if I gat any bites. If anyone else here at c3vr can think of someone else to help put this together contact them. The important thing is this idea started here at c3vr and we don't get it pulled out from under neath us.
Thanks Glenn

Under the heading of Believe-It-Or-Not I got a signed E-Mail back from GM, on a Saturday no less. That was the good news, the bad news is they very nicely informed me they do not accept ideas for promotions from non GM Employees. Well I really did not expect any help from them. I'll keep you all informed on any other replys.

Not to slight any GM employees, but that might explain why most of their promos are a bit lame.

I'll bet that the NCM might be interested in helping out with it at the C3 Extravaganza, especially since C3VR is co-hosting the event. I know a camera man and a former military pilot in the C3VR ranks who both live in the BG area.
And I have to agree - it would be the perfect cover for the 2005 C3VR calendar...!!!
I'll add to the green part of the image, ahh,, which part was that?
It does sound like a perfect cover for the calander tho.

The picture part should be easy. If it is done in a city large enough that they have a news helicopter I feel sure they will be more than thrilled to cover the event and allow a still photographer along for the ride in exchange for the exclusive coverage. As a bonus we should make the national news. I think it is an awesome idea. Count me and my RED 74 coupe in.

I think trying to do this at the C3 Extravaganza would be a great idea! May even help draw people to the event in order to be a part of the picture!
