Wow! That just plain stinks!
I truly hope you can find a legal remedy for this. I'd bet you will.

Keep us posted as this plays out.
Stick around here at C3VR and enjoy all this site has to offer. Your input is welcome.
If and when you're ready to buy another Corvette, there's alot of good people with good info. here.
And take a look at "Sad Old '79" posted by Jeffm on March 18, 2009.
It may cheer you up, if only temporarily.

Man I am REALLY sorry to hear this.
I hope this works out for you and you can at least get back to where you started.
I never knew just how much I would fall in love with these cars but I am head over heals anytime I can drive one.
I hope that happens for you also.

That really does suck, but at least you were wise enough to get another opinion before you got to deep into it. Many of us just can't seem to keep our hearts out of these cars and let common sense take over.

I hope you get your money back quickly and that the next one is the real deal and enjoy many miles of smiles.

If it were me, I would contact my attorney prior to contacting the seller. Just in case, your seller had the same thing happen to them to bring the case together, time frame wise.
To hopefully cheer you up. A friend of mine acquired a slightly damaged C3, running with a 4 speed for $2,500.00. They are out there and in our backyard.
I think you should come out on the deal, at least I hope so for you!
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU RECOVERING YOUR LOSSES. i CAN ONLY HOPE FOR HUMANITY SAKE THAT THIS INDIVIDUAL HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS DAMAGE AND DOES THE RIGHT THING BY YOU. hOWEVER, WE KNOW ALOT OF SCUMBAGS OUT THERE DON`T GIVE A S&&T ABOUT THEIR FELLOW MAN. IN THE LONG RUN IT COMES BACK ON THEM .
