Looking to put together a Anniversary Edition gathering at the NCM sometime in 2007 (date TBD).  I know this isthe C-3 forum, however, the 25th Annivessary editions are C-3's and there isn't a 25th Anniversary Registry with a forum.  Below is what I posted on the 50th Annivesary forum and so far the feedback has been very positive.

question.gif With all of the events being held at the NCM, ie pacecar reunion, C5/C6 reunion, C3 reunion, ZR1 gathering. I have realized that there is one missing from all of this. Yep, its an Annie Gathering. question.gif

Invities would be anyone with an Annie, wether that be a 25th, 35, 40th, or 50th.

I have asked ROC at the NCM and he is willing to help. However, we/I need to contact the other registries (if they exist) if, and only if this is acceptable here. Once we have all everyone's okay then we will conduct a conference call with all the organizers from each of the registries.

I'm pretty sure, actually very sure, that an event of this type is not doable this year. So the earliest it could be done, would be 2007.

Any thoughts, comments, or even if this is persuable would greatly be appreciated. We have never organized, or been part of anything of this magnitude. If this isn't agreeable, then no problem, feelings will not be hurt. It is currently just an idea question.gif Something that I won't be able to spend much time with until after I graduate from College next month.

Feedback would greatly be appreciated.

This sounds like an awsome idea but I think you may need to re-think your date.  I think the NCM might already be scheduling into 2007.

I contacted Indy Motor Speedway about the possibility of a Pace Car Reunion in 2006 and they said that they had no plans but they did send me this link to the NCM http://www.corvettemuseum.com/registration/pace/info.shtml

Although I may not be able to attend a meet in KY, I sure would love to go to this one

Although I don't have an "Annie", I think it's a great idea! Think you're right that this one is "among the missing". Good luck on your "quest"!! Since Adam was a driving force behind getting the C3 Extravaganza established, he can probably help.

Agree also that the NCM is probably already doing preliminary scheduling for 2007 - especially since there's been some talk of moving the C3 Extravaganza at the NCM from mid October back into June (which currently seems to be a fairly light month for events at the NCM) for 2007. There were some (maybe several) complaints that a lot of our northern brethern had already put their Sharks away by 1 October.

I've been exchanging E-mails with Roc from the museum, so they are very
much aware of what our prelimenary plans are. Although no exact date
ahs been set till we have a conference call with Roc and Joel (heads up the
50th Anniversary forum). But as with anything, those who hesitate loose.

This is my first time at trying to put something together of this scale, I
put together several local runs and help with the Adirondack Vette Fest in
September. So this should be one hell of a ride. And I'm looking forward
to all of the fun. What better way to meet new friends and have a really
great time.

And believe me, I am going to welcome all of the help and advice anyone
can give at this point.

PS: I very much understand the northern issue of Oct 1st, we live about
60 miles south of Montreal. Sometimes its kinda white up here around
then, but the fall colors are spectacular normally.

ammo6,
Do you know how many of each anniversary vette were built and what percent would be likely to drive to BG?
That will give you an idea of the probable success in pulling this off.
Roc will tell you it may take 3 years to get the numberts up to where you will be considered successful.
I do wish you the best of luck with this and I will promote it as much as possible.
I wonder if the CE owners have an event?

Vette(s):
SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe

I too think it is a great idea.

You may want to open it to all the years that were on the 5 year anniversary increment to get the numbers up faster ('58, '63, '68, '73, '78, '88, '93, '98, & '03).  If we're successful in getting C3X moved out of October in '07 that could be a date to go for.  The '08s will be in production by then (55th anniverary editions)...!!!
