Radio install. PO had his son attempt to put a in an aftermarket radio. Wiring diagram has the antenna power feed as being pink. No pink wire. Anyone have any ideas? I'm guessing that they ran out of pink wire when they put the car together. Please don't make me go under the back end and clean off the exposed wires! Oh, by the way, the PO also removed the antenna.

My '81 shop manual shows a DK Grn (arm), Gray (up), White (down) wires existing the power antenna relay...to the antenna.  I don't "read electrical" but orange is the color from the fuse box to the antenna relay.
It takes a young child's arm to reach around the muffler to get to the antenna.

The only wires I have remaining would be 2 brown, gray and a yellow that I bet are the speaker wires. I would guess that one of the ones that look brown are tan. Other than those I have no remaining unmarried wires. Luckily I have two things that are going for me 1. I don't listen to the radio, 2. the antenna is on back order.

Brown & yellow are Left speaker
Lt Blue & Dk Blue are Right speaker

Gray & Tan are Left Front speaker

Lt Grn & Dk Grn are Right speaker

A second brown wire if for ETR radios (not sure what for)

Dave, if you need a harness from the "radio to relay" (orange, black, yellow wires) and or "relay to antenna" (gray, green, white wires) let me know. I have them brand new in the package I'll sell you cheap and save you the shipping since your in my area.
These harness's are for '80-'82 vettes.

Thanks Darryl, I have the harnesses, radio came from Retrosound. I don't seem to be able to track down the wires for the antenna. Looks like I'll be doing a bit of reverse tracking from the back of the car. I do know the car did have the power antenna because I saw all the lines when I was redoing the exhaust. Thanks

These aren't wires you have from retrosound. These harnesses probably are the ones your missing if in fact they were removed.
So...Flip up the carpeting behind the drivers seat bulkhead. There should be the green, gray, white wire harness. Trace those back to the antenna, then trace the other way to the relay located behind the passenger side compartment bulkhead. Good luck.

Or are you missing the thick antenna cable???

OK, tracked them down. Mine come behind the driver seat to the passenger side. Of course I pulled the driver seat out, unnecessarily. I'll pull the pass seat so I can see why they don't go up to the console.
