Vette(s): Just finished 2 years of Blood, Sweat, & Tears restoring my 69 Coupe. Crimsom Red, 427, vacuum removed, Shot of Steeroids, Killer Lights, 5 Speed, still working on small things but she is back on the road.
Has anyone known someone or bought an Astro Roof Panel from Thompson Astro Tops?  They are located in Florence AL. www.astrotops.com   It looks like a nice one piece top that fits over the T - Bar on a Coupe.  I'm thinking about buying one for my 69 any suggestions or feed back would be appreciated.

I purchased one but have not installed it yet so I can not give a report. It does look like a nice unit.  There is a discussion about it on CF(corvette forum) with both positive and negative comments. I purchased one knowing that I would have new t top seals in place and don't plan on removing it very often.

Whats the exchange? I noticed the prices are with or without exchange. Do you really have to exchange your original T-Tops cilrah38915.842337963

I've been running the 2 piece tops on my 79 for YEARS...at least 15

They changed the rear locking  method about 10 years ago...and when I inquired about the change and what was required to upgrade at Carlisle  they just handed me the new parts absolutely free...

Mine always have leaked a little...not a big deal however as the car lately has not seen enough use to warrant owning it...I can not even remember the last time it saw rain...

The new rear locking method still sucks...BUT it is much better then the original..

I have the one piece top on my 73. No problems it does however sit a little higher to the back of the roof. 68 to 75 or 76 had a chrome moulding in the ditch area. On my 77 and up the moulding is not there so it sits flush. Jack

Thanks for the feed back.  I think I will have my wife buy me one for my B'day.  I really like the way it looks.  After 2 years of restoring my 69 I'm ready to get it on the rode and enjoy her.  I have the original T-Tops and they look great but this will add a nice touch to her when I show her off.

Thanks again, Jim

I have a smoked tint one in my 76 when I get caught in the rain. It looks great in a black car. I have the original tops in the bags put up for storage. They have never been in since I had the car painted.
It fits behind the seats and there is plenty of room underneath for storage. All 3 of the compartment doors open when it's in the back too.
I bought mine from Mid America at the FunFest show and paid no shipping fee. I paid $450.00 for mine. There is no top exchange as mentioned for this item.
Mine does leak some above the windsheild header but not enough to complain about, and as with most of our cars it isn't driven unless by accident on rainy days. car anyway. Just my .02...
