Topic: BRAS (not victorias secret...)
in Forum: C3 General Discussion
As Joel would say..Otay, here is what I'm going with..I first cleaned the bra, boy did that bring back memories ,then I fitted it and noted the parts that might rub or move under extreme conditions, yea..Then after the car was cleaned I cut 3M clear mask in excess to cover the areas.. I then installed the bra, making sure it is a tight fit, O'boy the memories, I then cut mask for the areas that were exposed, like the left and right lower side of the air spoiler. also behind the back tires directly were the fiberglass begins at the bottom of the fenders. I made custom front mud flaps that fit inside the wheel well and protect the side exhaust covers, y'all will want some I know..Here are a few shots..I hope I can do this..Terry

Man, you be a "blingin'", Terry. How hard was it putting that 3M clear stuff on ya' car? I would go with just the 3M stuff. I don't have to worry right now. I need a couple of new grills, but not before PF.
I was thinking about getting a bra. Where did you order yours?

I have made contact with a company that makes a bra that is superior to all others, they only go back to 1980, I have requested they make one for mine? We will see..Here is the web link..

the paint. And in pretty short order it did nothing but leave abrasions in
the clear coat across the top of the hood, even though it was properly
installed and removed in the couple of instances when it rained.
And almost all the driving I did was in the city, so it's not as though it was
moving around at highway speeds.
Suffice it to say, the bra came right off, never to be used again--and I
won't be getting one for the '78.
hmmm. "to bra or not to bra..."
still undecided. hey terry, are the headlight covers separate pieces? i'd like to have the option of not putting them on if i could. i think a black bra on my red car would look cool if i didn't put on the headlight covers. that way, you'd see a big black nose with two red "eyeballs" sticking out. i've seen the bras with the headlight areas attached near the top of the headlight to allow them to pop up and down. but if they are individual pieces, i could leave them off.
