Vette(s): 1980 Coupe, Black exterior, oyster interior.

Greetings!  I am trying to put together information on my 80 build sheet.  I have 2 from under the car.  One was on the gas tank and the other was folded into the strut bracket.  The tank copy was partially gone and the strut copy was soaked in oil, dirt and who knows what.  I have been cleaning it like the dead sea scrolls.  I think I can get almost all the cars info from these two beat up copies.  What I am trying to find is a pristine copy of a build sheet from that time period.  I cant read all of the headings for each box.  The info in the box is ok.  If I had a template to go from I'm pretty sure I can document the cars history correctly.  Anyone know where I can obtain a readable copy of a late model Build sheet?  Thanks!!

Unfortunately my car is a 1980, they only go back to 81.  I will keep digging, Thanks!

Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
You're lucky to have found two copies.  I got only one from the tank for my 74 and I'm missing more than I'd like.

Go to a good quality copy shop and have them scan both copies and give you the files (you might also want to get paper copies).  You'd be amazed sometimes as to what you can see by manipulating the files.

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

I've got a nice 79 copy I could post if that helps. Also a template that lists what all the boxes are.

There is a company that can furnish build sheet info back to '77...the info has been posted here before. Might need to do a search, but I know someone posted about getting one for their '77 recently...Adams' Apple2007-08-02 06:29:59

Excellent!  It would really be great if I could see a copy of that. I have been working with both originals of mine and the hardest parts to see are the box numbers and box titles.  Still I think I can put together a whole picture of the cars origins from what I have.  I will have to post picture of what I have.  Its a hoot to see what I'm working with.

Thanks!  I took your advise. Some of the text is actually more readable on the copy then the original.  I also have been using an eye loupe to see up close.  It has helped me figure out quite a bit of info!
