Vette(s): 1980 Silver, L48 Totally re-built at 52,000 KM Now 355 CI Edelbrock Performer package Dual exhaust
Hi guys:

Yesterday I found my build sheet/tank sticker.

While putting in the new rear TRW composite spring I noticed the tank sticker hanging partially off on one end but glued quite well to the gas tank on the other end. This was above the upper cover for the spare tire.  I removed the cover and as carefully as possible I retrieved the better part of the sticker without having to drop the tank.  The glue was such that it would have ripped the sticker some what anyways.  I can see all my options and most of the other info.
S for all you 980 owners the sticker ison the tan above the spare tire upper cover.

While in there I intend to drain the differential and put in new lubricant as well.

I have some new rubber and shocks on order and all seems to be going well.

With only 31,000 original miles on the car the undercarriage, tank and frame seem to be in excellent shape. No rusted bolts, this is one of the easiest cars I have ever had the pleasure of working on.  Maye it is because I enjoy it though.

Congrtaes. Funny how we can have hours of fun, including the cussing, working on our Vettes but hate having to even spend 5 minutes working on the daily driver. Redwingvette2008-02-09 06:06:15

Same place, same glue, same torn spot from the glue on my 79.  Here's a scan of it (click here to see).  Surpisingly readable for a 95K car never garaged....

Anyone know where on the sheet the build date is located? Trying to figure out if it's on here and if I can figure it out...

See link on above post from Feb 2009

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.
After 130+ thousand turns of the odometer I found mine in very ledgeable form, but POOR to remove. Middle of the tank on the strap. VERRY carefully took tank out and GENTLY removed the sticker. NO repro is available. I drove to bowling green to get it and NO GOT. All records lost/destroyed in move from the St. Louis hospital. I laminated what I have and am verry happy to have it.
