You are right. This thing is really heavy. I have a hard time moving one around on the floor. Making 2 pcs per side would solve the weight and storage issue.
I can leave the approach ramps in place with the garage door down, so I'm thinking of this just being the normal parking spot. That is why I'm looking for some mirror combination to be able to see how the tires allign to the ramp.
I sure do not want to drive off it!

Those are pretty kewl..... I have posted simple PLANS for homemade ramps a few times before. I had a pair of these many moons ago. I got tired of moving them. I bought some ramps similar to Rhino Ramps but better. Mine have a removable lip on the front on them. This prevents them from scooting across the floor.
I bought these when I got the C5 because it sits so durn low. My wooden ramps moved to the side of the garage for outside applications. (4wd trucks). Finally they made a warm glow in the fire pit at the campground.
