Just got the car but not the books I ordered.
In the mean time I'm searching, cleaning and finding some good and bad surprises
Bear with me
I foung a large button under the steering column. on each side it looks like two smaller levers
What are these for ?
Bought car from a dealer not an owner so I don't know what was added or taken out
Thanks
Al

The two outer "stems" are pull-down vacuum swithches that hold open the wiper door and the headlight flaps. The center knob is twist action and it activates the wipers so you can bring them out onto the windshield to change blades. So they all essentially over-ride the on-dash switches.

From 68 to 72 there are two pulls and one button in the middle. The two pulls are to override and open up the headlights and wiper door manually. The button switch is to override the wipers so you can stop them in any position for blade replacement etc. Hope this helps |thumb|
