I'm looking for some help on determining the number of 1980 L82's that where produced with the same exterior and interior that I have.
I know there were 3,451 Dark Claret exteriors (code 76) produced – but don’t know how many of those had the Claret Leather interiors (code 792).
Any help would be appreciated.

Mark,
My book that I have for colors from '80 to '82 is not 100%.
Here's what it says:
76 with 492: 1
76 with 192: 779
76 with 79C: 491
76 with 792: 831
76 with 59C: 243
76 with 592: 466
76 with 12C: 206
76 with 122: 418
This only is total of 3,435 so you can see that it's not 100% correct.
Hope this helps.

There is virtually no way to determine how many of these had the L-82, and this color combo. We can only speculate.

[QUOTE=Adams' Apple]Your answer is right there...."76 with 792: 831"

I tried looking for the L-82's and ditto Joel. There's no way and only speculate. Wish there was a way without asking all the owners that have '80's. That will be a forever job.

Hey guys!
Where are you getting your numbers? I'm just starting to research my 72, and I'd like to know what books are a must have.
I tried looking up the St. Louis plant for build info, but didn't find much. I wish the National Museum had build sheets/info for the older cars. Any luck on finding any info on the older vettes?
Thanks!

GM was not in the business of collecting information. It was in the car making business. Keeping records was the last thing it wanted to worry about. When the B.G. assy plant started up, there was a concerted effort to record/archive production numbers. Very little is available(from GM) for the 53-81 St.Louis built cars.
