Actually, the item I did receive was fine quality. Quality of product was NOT my issue. Quality of customer service was my issue. I actually have an E mail dated 4 weeks ago from Dale Robertson from Al Knoch stating my order was going to ship that week. I talked to a representative this AM saying the items were still in production. I had to initiate all communication. I received 1 item out if 5 this week. There was no indication on the shipping ticket that anything was backordered. All of this, 4 weeks after Dale Robertson said my order was shipping.
If I ran my business like this, I'd be gone.............

My 2 cents.........
Corvette Central has always been good and so has Ecklers. But, Ecklers offers a 10% discount for your first order and any orders placed at Bloomington. As it turns out though, they need to give you a 10% discount just to stay even with Corvette Central.
Don't forget to check local suppliers for general parts. Its amazing what you can still get from your local NAPA even though they may have to do some research. Things like Chevy thermostats and temp sending units don't change much and are readily available at considerably lower prices without the ridiculous shipping (it doesn't cost $9.95 to ship a half pound item) charges.

Tinley, you are right, they should have let you know up front if they didn't have something in stock and there was to be a long wait. Dale is a really good person, but even he might not know the production status of every part in every color. I have run into this with parts from other suppliers as well. Once I waited for "upgrade" Delco speakers from Corvette Central for over 3 months, finally cancelled the order and got them in 3 days from the Last Detail. The difference was the Last Detail had them in stock, Central didn't. It has to be hard for these suppliers to keep everything in stock and in every color. I could also understand why there could be a long wait while the parts are being manufactured, I'm sure they are not built one at a time for everyone, they have to wait for a production run.
