I always look on Craig list and e-bay and I seem to fine what I need cheap. But the things that matter like the engine and tyranny you have to pay. The big thing I have learn is Patience it will come.

If you think Corvette parts are expensive, try parts from some of our German brethren....
There is no substitute for low end torque! 
Shop around, get every catalog you can and compare, search the internet, check ebay regularly for great used and new, check craigslist but be careful there, engine and tranny stuff check your local speed shops and parts stores.

Am I missing somthing? I have not heard or know the term, " RED HEADED STEP CHILD" Could someone enlighten me? Is it only C3s or just a span of years within the C3 era? Are they only RED? 
I used to drive Alfa Romeos along with my muscle cars. The italian car tax is INSANE and I mean INSANE. 90% of the parts for our Vettes can be bought at a NAPA type store, the other 10%, the specific stuff is expensive. The thing that totally pisses me off is the bad, ill-fitting chinese parts that are crap and dont fit. Heres my top gripes of the past years

A) The windshiled wiper cover that is "drop in" and aint even close
B) The "exact fit" dash parts that are distorted and dont fit
C) The kits that dont include the screws, THEN when you order the 1.29 set of "exact screws" they are BS wrong screws that aint even close. The Home Depot screws are more exact AND the parts house charges you 10.99 to ship em. Then when you go to return them it costs you 50 cents not 10.99 and you have to eat shipping SOOOOOOO you call Amex and dispute the charge

"Red-headed step child" is a term used to describe something that is shunned, or not really wanted. The most common use I've ever heard of the term is "I'll beat your a$$ like a red-headed step child!".

"Red-headed step child" is a term used to describe something that is shunned, or not really wanted. The most common use I've ever heard of the term is "I'll beat your a$$ like a red-headed step child!".

MUSTANG, Are they still makin them? I thought they carried the mail across the mid-west in the 1800s. I had a buckskin one time, but it was only 1 H/P.
