1. Yes
2. No, I think just a owner name and pictures is best
3. Yes
4. $8
5. $12 for a across the room poster
6. I like one poster per year large enough to see from across the house for $35
7. Would you prefer to:
a) Yes, but there should be some basic rules for angels, size, etc.
b) Not needed.
c) Exactly!
8. It would not hurt, but it would date it instead of being more timeless with no other date specific info in print.
9. Unless the photos were stunning and unusual, No, I don't think they would sell all that well outside of here.
10. Sure.

I think the calendar idea would be a good one.
I don't have time right now to answer the questions, or I would each one individually.
Gotta go back to work!
Later all!

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
Thanks for your posts friends! Getting good info from you all. Keep 'em coming!

This sounds like a good idea but its a bit late to think about it for 03, especially if you want to sell them at events. No one wants to buy a calendar in April or June for full cost. Calendars go on major sales in January. So I guess your looking at an 04 calendar.
1. Would you be willing to have your Vette featured in a C3VR wall calendar? Yes
2. Would you agree to have vehicle basic specs (year, engine, HP, etc.), your name, hometown and state included as a bio? Yes
3. Would you purchase this calendar for yourself, or others, whether or not your vehicle was featured? Yes
4. What do you feel is a fair price for a calendar? $12-$20 (a little research should be done to find out what like calendars sell for.
5. Would (4) featured vehicles per month be acceptable, or do you really want to see the picture from across the room so (1) vehicle per month is better? One/Month
6. Would it be practical to print up a series of say (4) calendars per year, each featuring different Vettes, in order to get as many member vehicles featured as possible per year? Maybe think of developing a standard format with regional issues, it would be easer to sell calendars at regional events if the cars on it were from that region.
7. Would you prefer to: A or C But I have a lot of equipment.
a) submit a picture you have already taken?
b) have a picture taken professionally?
c) take your own picture following some layout, background, time of day (for lighting), etc. guidelines or suggestions to eliminate professional photography fees?
8. Should C3VR and/or NCM event dates be included in the calendar? OH YES!
9. Do you think these calendars would sell well at Corvette events, swap meets, etc., at a slightly higher cost to offset some of the website's maintenance fees? Hard to say?
10. Would you be willing, individually, to attempt selling these calendars at local events in your area if possible? I'ed try

Good Morning Mark....The calendar idea is great. I would pay
$20.00-$25.00. Also, I'm in the commerical printing business. We
produce many different items such as calendars. Let me know if I
can be of any help. Thanks....Paul Summerville

I also feel that the photos should be randomly drawn from entries submitted by members. Percentage of photos per year based on # of entries per year, or something like that.

1. Would you be willing to have your Vette featured in a C3VR wall calendar? Absolutely
2. Would you agree to have vehicle basic specs (year, engine, HP, etc.), your name, hometown and state included as a bio?
Absolutely, but I think either Hometown or State should be omitted
3. Would you purchase this calendar for yourself, or others, whether or not your vehicle was featured? Absolutely
4. What do you feel is a fair price for a calendar? $15-30
5. Would (4) featured vehicles per month be acceptable, or do you really want to see the picture from across the room so (1) vehicle per month is better? Would much prefer 1/Month, would look much better
6. Would it be practical to print up a series of say (4) calendars per year, each featuring different Vettes, in order to get as many member vehicles featured as possible per year? I don't personally think so because I would only be able to afford one, and so could be less total sales. However it would really depend on how many people would buy all 4, since there would be 4x as many purchases per year if it were done that way. Stupid essay answer LOL. Something to be considered is a weekly calendar that would feature more cars/year. would be smaller though.
7. Would you prefer to: A bad home photo could ruin the whole thing, but that might be better taken on a case by case basis C seems most reasonable though(for my submission anyway) C would also allow a theme to develop in the calendar instead of a shot of my Vette in my driveway with the neighbor's Honda in the background

I support the effort, I would permit my vette to be featured, and would by one even if it were not one of the lucky few.
However, it is my opinion that every member would like their car featured. One per month would only permit a select few and would make the calendar like any other Corvette calendar. Four per month is better, but did you ever think of publishing a desk calendar? This would allow 365 members and their sharks to be featured.
